The official language of Mali is French, but 80% of the population would also speak Bambara.
The Republic of Mali is actually run as a semi-presidential representative democratic republic. This means that there is a President (head of state) and a prime minister (head of government) which the president elects. This government actually provides freedom of religion and allows access for missionaries.
